You have to hear this!
This is my favorite hearty laugh of all. This one got me too. It really tickles my heart! I used to listen to this during the days when I miss him way back in the long distance phase. I kept this in my phone. I intentionally record this way back in 2009. ;)

The Wedding
I honestly do not know how to tell the story, so let me just post some photos first...

The ceremony took place at the Santa Clara City Hall on January 4. Originally, the wedding was scheduled on December 14, 2010, but due to some unfortunate circumstance we were forced to move it the following year. What happened was Honey's grandmother died on November and we have to follow some norms and heed to premonitions. We didn't have any fancy plans about the wedding, it was just a formality that we had to go through thinking that my visa will expire after 90 days upon my arrival in the US, and so it was kinda like we had to get married before it expires so I can legalize my immigration status. Honey's friend asked me how was I feeling during that day, and I knew he was expecting a more enthusiastic answer from me, but I answered "NORMAL". I really felt nothing extraordinary about that day, and well honestly I just felt normal, just like any ordinary day. Don't get me wrong though, of course that was a special day because that was part of our history, but I could make the day I arrived here the most special day for both me and Honey. For me, that day was already the turning point that at last we are already together after years of waiting, and that day marked the sweet closure of the distance that separated us for what seemed to be like forever. I was at my happiest that day, and no ceremony, not even our own wedding could make me feel that very same happiness ever again.
The wedding was held at 2 o'clock, officiated by a gay officer, and after two minutes, we were proclaimed officially as husband and wife! I was telling everybody at least I was expecting a 15-minute wedding ceremony, but two minutes though? Really... I was in shock for a couple of minutes there.
Honey's friend volunteered his fancy car for our use during that day and even was generous enough to drive us too. The wedding was attended by close relatives, friends, and co workers. The wedding party was held at home. I don't recall Honey or I was even pressured about the preparation, because his mom did almost everything for us, she even picked our sponsors! We didn't even have to bother for the food because almost everybody brought something with them. All we had to do was take a shower, wear our clothes, and get married!
Eventually there will be a second wedding in the Philippines, and I will still insist on a civil ceremony. I am afraid of a church wedding, I can't stand it! I am planning for a photoshoot in the Philippines as well, if you notice we only have a few but ugly photos taken haha! It's going to be a lot better and a lot memorable in the Philippines, all of the people important to us will be able to attend our second wedding!

This Time, It's Forida!
What comes to my mind when I hear Florida is a picture of mountains and mountains of big juicy sweet oranges! But aside from the oranges, there is a lot more to this place especially in the booming city of West Palm Beach - the capital city of the palm beaches. Sounds like a good idea for a long weekend getaway! I am here right now at the West Palm beach city's website trying to gather juices of information about the place. I like it when I see attractive websites like this one, it arouses my senses to go stash a little fortune and enjoy a whole new different city! I am not more into the night life though, but I am more of a beach bum, and so is the rest of the family. I also found links to other cities in Florida like Delray, which also has beautiful beaches! Oh I can never get enough of the beaches in Florida, there's also Wellington, Coconut Creek and Boynton Beach! I really sound like I could really never get enough of this! It is like I am already traveling in real time while I am visiting their sites. What a lovely place indeed!
I also found out that in Florida, West Palm Beach is the best place to go when shopping Hyundai vehicles! Hyundai, pronounced as Hun-day is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world. In West Palm Beach Hyundai you will find huge collection of the latest Hyundai car models. I've seen the new one on television, the all new Hyundai Sonata, and I must say I like the classical touch of it, makes me think of old Hollywood style.
The West Palm Beach Hyundai also offers various services. I knew some of vehicle services like changes in parts and repainting, but what I am more knowledgeable about is the change oil. I have to mention this again that I have worked for this petroleum company way back home and I used to sell motor oils to franchise car dealers also. Other than other vehicle services, change oil is the most critical part of vehicle maintenance, it is as we all know of course, taking care of the very heart of the vehicle in the right time, and of course, in the right place. Having expert automotive mechanics is also a plus since they could recommend the proper oil viscosity and oil rating most suitable for the make of your car.
I soon will get my own car but I am very sure that if I do, I will just have to get me a decent used car. I am currently unemployed and in the process of adjusting my immigration status, and soon will be getting my work permit and then hopefully will be able to find a nice paying job immediately. Me and Honey have a little online business ongoing actually, and what's best is, it is non-taxable, but probably it would take us couple of years before we could buy some properties with the money we generate from there. We have been planning to visit other places also, and it would be really nice if we could realize these plans soon. A little goes a long way if you just know how to play your cards well, and fortunately we have been good in playing our cards. Sometime soon Florida, we will see you!

My Immigration Status
Last week on Wednesday, we have submitted my application for Adjustment of Status, Work Authorization, and Advance Parole Travel document to the Department of Homeland Security. Original plan was to submit everything right after the wedding, but we had no idea back then that there's no way to speed things up because of the heavy instructions and paperwork involved.
Today, in my inbox, was a notice from the USCIS that they received my application, and that it will be routed for the National Benefits Center for processing. Furthermore it says that within 7-10 days by standard mail I will receive my official receipt notice (Form I-797) with the receipt Number.
I can't wait! I am almost on my way to be a legit resident and to be employed at last!

Terrible Toothache!
This is my dilemma. Our dilemma. Both Honey and I are restless discussing the remedies of this terrible toothache. The thing is, last October my dentist in the Philippines advised me to get a root canal for a particular tooth, but since I didn't have enough time to do that since my flight for the US will be on the following month, I settled for the usual antibiotics and pain relievers. Honey was rushing me too so I guess I heard him told me to finish the tooth work in the US. Last year was my best year for all the drugs available there is over the counter. Philippines is just very lenient with prescriptions.
On a Sunday, when I couldn't take the pain any longer, Honey went searching for a dentist that was on duty. He found one and we went rushing to her clinic to get a prescription for an antibiotic. The dentist gave me a non-refillable prescription for Penicillin. Pretty weak antibiotic compared to the antibiotics that I was exposed to last year. I've had Clindamycin, Levofloacin, Oxofloxacin, and Amoxicillin. I took the Penicillin together with a 200mg Ibuprofen for two days, and noticed the pain was getting worse.

We rushed to the dentist again to ask for another prescription for a stronger pain reliever, and gave me a non-refillable 30 tables of 800mg Ibuprofen. For two days now, I have had a good night's sleep. I also secured an over the counter Tylenol PM extra strong just in case the 800mg wears off during my sleep. The pain is still here, this time it is tolerable, but Honey told me this wouldn't go away anymore because my body has been immune to the antibiotics that it wont kill the bacteria that is causing the pain, and I had no choice but to schedule a root canal session next week. Bad news of all, Valentines day will be next week and the family has a plan for that day!

I so want to get rid of this pain as well, and also my mind is restless for the pain that I had to go through during the root canal procedure. My conclusion: SELF MEDICATION DAYS IS OVER. The Amoxicillin I ordered online is happily on its way.

Grown Up Sports
Last night, I noticed Honey was just uneasy. I asked him about it this morning and he told me he was just mentally tired from everything. He has been busy with a lot of things and has to think of a lot of things even things that doesn't concern him directly. He was supposed to go biking with his friends early this morning, but since he slept around four in the morning already he had to call off to get more sleep. Luckily though, a friend of his informed him that there is going to be a basketball game later and Honey was cool about it, at least a little sports here and there could make him relax is what he said. I happened to marry a man that is so into sports, grown up sports. He likes to sweat it out and feel his muscles working. He plays football during the weekend too. There are lot of other sports out there that Honey could play as well like baseball for instance, given that he has playmates of course. He joins this group in Yahoo that gets together every weekend for a game but last I heard it was just a group of football enthusiasts in our area.

Talking about baseball, I mentioned it because I recall once we borrowed a Fever Pitch dvd in the library, it was a romantic comedy to feed my long time chick flick cravings. It was a story between a female who has a soaring career as an executive in a promising company and a plain male teacher who was but a Red Sox fanatic. The teacher was so annoyingly a fan of the Red Sox since childhood that he never missed a game or an event related to baseball since then. Furthermore, the teacher had his room full of baseball stuff ranging from his bedspread to his telephone to his wardrobe and all the you can imagine a crazy fan would have for the love of his patron team. He was crazily in love head over heels with this baseball team that he would give up almost everything, even to the expense of his girlfriend just to be physically present in the game. The teacher even had tickets that entitled him for exclusive seats for the whole of the baseball season. The love story started out fine until Miss Executive realized that her boyfriend's first love was baseball and not even her could change it, so she just had to deal with it the best way she can. I thought that maybe if the teacher guy have grown up a bit, maybe played a little baseball himself, the story of course would have been a smooth sail ride. I like the way the whole of America supports baseball, and the game really got me interested. Maybe I could give myself a little time to watch some baseball game once in a while.
Looking around, it is unfortunate how I see grown up guys who are crazily in love with their own version of sports they call indoor sports like playing with an X box 360, or keeping a PSP handy. There are guys I know, some are friends and some are family members, who competes with their children when it comes to playing video games. I personally don't have anything against it if they could just keep it in a low low and live up to the expectations of being a grown ups. Video games are cool I know, but if you sleep late just to finish a game, and if you have children, that would be terrible and that is just another story. Definitely sports is not what makes a man if they play just indoor sports! Why not play real sports?
My point is, good grown up sports could give positive energy and it insinuates positive outlook in life. Sports is an instant life coach. Honey for example as I noticed, keeps on developing a very positive outlook in life, and he plans everything, build a strategy and implement. He takes care of stuff at home and none of us even have to worry about anything anymore. In grown up sports, certainly there are rules that big guys or even big girls could apply in real life. After all, life is but a game, so better play it smart, right?

New Bag for Honey!
The other day we went to buy additional items to fill in the balikbayan box we are sending to our resellers in the Philippines. We found two pieces of pink Jansport Airlift Backpacks, and Honey happens to like it so he took the other piece for his own use, replacing his ten-year-old blue backpack at last!

Everyday, Honey would bring two bags with him. His blue backpack containing his necessities, plus a laptop bag. Now that he found a nice backpack, and pink at that, he could just put all of his things in there that he only have to carry one bag starting today. What's nice about this new bag is that it has lots of compartments for almost everything.

So last night while we transferred his things to his pink backpack, he told me the story about his old blue bag. The old blue bag was given to him by his uncle when they first got here like ten to eleven years ago. He was not quite sure if the bag was used when his uncle gave it to him, because in the case this bag is really sturdy and it is really something! It has no scratches, no torn parts and no stains! So therefore, he is not giving the bag away for its greatness and for some sentimental reasons. ;)
I really like it when he chooses pink for his stuff!

Dinner by The Frying Master
Last night when Honey came home after his basketball game, he must have been so hungry that he volunteered to cook dinner. His mom was about to cook fishes of some sort also but since Honey can't wait any longer, he went to open a can of spam and fried it. I prepared the pan and heated up the oil - was my only participation aside from eating of course - then Honey went to fry it good. Honey is excellent at frying, he fries everything that is why he is the frying master around the house! Nobody else fries better than he does and that is for real!

This is not the first time that he prepared us dinner, but this is the first post related to his frying. For documentation purposes only. Winks!*^*
