On Tuesday, February 15, a day after we had our little family V-day getaway, I surrendered myself for the first step of the root canal procedure. For days I wondered if I really wouldn't feeling no pain considering the swelling. Luckily, there was a Filipino guy in the clinic whom I was able to talk to about the procedure, this guy has practiced dentistry in the Philippines so he definitely knew something about the procedure. He assured me there is going to be no pain. The procedure will not take long and that I will be given anesthesia to numb my gum. Sure enough I was given four shots of anesthesia, unfortunately it took a while for it to kick in and I was just feeling slight numbness in my tongue and in my lips. The freak paranoid that I am, I made sure I felt zero pain when the dentist had to test if I still felt anything on this part and on that part. It took twenty minutes for the anesthesia to take effect, and took 10 minutes for the procedure to finish. I was given a temporary crown and will finish the procedure on June or July. We don't have the money just yet to finish the procedure immediately. Unfortunately, professional services in the United States robs you off of your hard-earned cash.
I am feeling a lot more comfortable now and thanks to the root canal procedure. We seem to have picked a good dentist.
